Periodontics case studies
Reflection: I have been blessed with my dental beginnings. Having worked in a small dental office we were able to communicate at a very close level. This allowed me to feel comfortable asking questions and receive detailed feedback on the situation and what happened step by step. The education, patience and support I received during this time has had a profound impact on my ease of understanding and learning in many of the Dental Hygiene classes.

Reflection: This project has been the most inspirational so far. It was an amazing experience to help an individual go from a very diseased oral cavity to an individual with education to help take care of their oral cavity. Tracking this progress was eye opening to my patient and myself in so many ways. Solidifying that treatment along with consistent homecare and education is so important for individuals to make positive progress toward a healthy oral cavity and overall health.
Caries Process and Prevention Strategies: Prevention CE course
Reflection: Participating in this course from dentalcare.com really broadened the way I look at how prevention is implemented in oral health. It helped me understand the importance of at home care and the barriers that our patients and communities face on a daily basis. Most important is to provide proper education while building trust and strong communication with our patients. We are there to work together to increase patient oral health and provide oral health care practices to assist in being successful in the process.
