GOAL 1
In this goal/objective I have listed objectives, each piece has had a profound impact on my journey to becoming a Dental Hygienist.
1. Acceptance letter
2. Letters of recommendation
3.
Acceptance letter
Reflection: I had worked as a office manager for many years but once I accepted my offer at the dentist office and found my dental community I knew it was my home. The job was great but I always wanted to be more hands on, so when the opportunity arose to train to become a dental assistant I jumped at the opportunity. While working as a dental assistant I started working toward acceptance into Dental Hygiene school. When I initially applied I was waitlisted and was discouraged but never quit fighting. I applied again and 6 months later and was accepted, and it was such a solidifying experience. It proved to me that all my hard work and diligence pays off.
Letters of recommendation
Reflection: In my years working in the dental office I was very lucky to have a very supportive dental community. They encouraged me the entire journey and provided support throughout. Their confidence in me gave me the strength and support I needed to apply and be accepted into Dental Hygiene school. The acceptance process was so much easier knowing that I had my dental family behind me 100%.
